The Department for Environment and Water aims to help South Australians conserve, sustain and prosper.
In South Australia we have a unique system of natural resources management boards that work in partnership with us to fulfil our roles and deliver services across eight natural resource management regions. Through the boards we develop meaningful relationships with the community and increase our shared knowledge and understanding about natural resources. We encourage debate and share the decision-making and accountability for choices made.
The Department for Environment and Water is currently offering the following grants:
SA Heritage Grants Program 2020/2021 - South Australia has a rich heritage that contributes to our quality of life and connects us to our history and stories. The Heritage Grants Program aims to provide multiple heritage benefits and help conserve and activate heritage places and areas, including adaptive reuse of historic buildings, facilitating heritage tourism, benefitting the broader community and supporting heritage trades and providing support for State Heritage Places in rural areas. SA Heritage Grant applications for conservation work or documentation for State Heritage Places will be accepted until 26 February 2021 at 2.00 pm.
WHEN COMPLETING APPLICATION FORM BE SURE TO SAVE THE INFORMATION AT LEAST EVERY 15 MINUTES TO ENSURE DATA IS NOT LOST.

Landscape Priorities Fund 2020/21 - The Landscape Priorities Fund (“the Fund”) is an initiative of the South Australian Government and is established under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019. The Landscape Priorities Fund is administered by the Department for Environment and Water on behalf of the Minister for Environment and Water. The fund provides the opportunity for landscape boards, working in partnership with other organisations, groups and individuals, to invest in large-scale integrated landscape management projects that address sub-regional, cross-regional and state-wide priorities. The projects should address priorities for managing, improving and enhancing the State’s landscape and natural resources and could address large landscape management issues such as landscape scale restoration, supporting bushfire recovery, climate resilience and adaptation, sustainable agriculture, and threatened species and ecosystem recovery.
Regional landscape boards are eligible to apply to the Fund for grants to undertake projects that are to be delivered through partnership arrangements with other organisations, groups and individuals.
Applications open Monday, 22 February 2021 and close Monday, 15 March 2021 04:00 PM.
